Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea

Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests

The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notifications on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas that cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Please use the following category to raise ideas for these offerings for all environments (traditional on premises, containers, on cloud):

  • Cloud Pak for Automation - incl Business Automation Studio, Business Automation Insights

  • Business Automation Workflow (BAW) - incl BAW, Business Process Manager, Workstream Services, Business Performance Center, Advanced Case Management

Add an ability to check the CBR-status of a document in the full text index

Related to case TS008281004 we have the problem that there is no chance (confirmed by L3) to check if a document is correctly inserted into the full text index. We need a tool or consitency check that enables us to check, if a document and all its...

Exclude specific MimeTypes from being CBR-indexed BEFORE content is loaded from Fixed Content Device

We have several document classes that contain documents of a wide varity of mimetypes. The document classes are CBR enabled but it is very obvious that some MimeTypes within this document class are not valid for CBR indexing (i.e. images or videos...

Shortcut to delete all unused objects

To start new projects, we often start by copying another script, leaving many variables, routines or assets without any reference in the development, also because sometimes we forget to delete it, anyway. Given this, it would be very productive...

Enhanced executeScript

executeScript could have a sibling method called assignScript where a script could be assigned to a variable of type 'script', along with any script initial variable assignments. The script could then be called by calling the variable as a paramet...

Better Variable Scope

As in other programming languages, variable scope would be very useful when calling subroutines. Subroutines should have in and out locally scoped variables that are set in the same way variables are set when calling executeScript

Enable all library items movement in copy wizard from one track to another

Currently, when trying to copy artifacts from one track to another, some artifacts are not visible ("Service Flows", "Client-Side Human Service" and perhaps more) as a standalone artifacts and they can't be migrated on their own. I suggest that al...

Remove Timeout of connection to server using On-Premise Version

When using the On-Premise version of IBM RPA, we have a limitation where every 2 hours, the system disconnect from the server, and the process returns errors during the execution of any script. We do not have any pop-up to inform us that the Studi...

Timebound the embedded rule execution and get partial/full results within the given time

When we invoke the rule execution API, we want to set the time limit for the execution. The API should return with partial results with whatever rules are executed if the rule execution is not fully completed within the time set.
