Requesting an enhancement to ARSJESD TLS connection handling so that malformed, mismatched, or incorrectly configured TLS connection attempts are rejected gracefully at the session level without causing the ARSJESD process to terminate.

The client has implemented TLS with ARSJESD in CMOD 10.5.0.10 on Linux. Correctly configured TLS connections work. However, when a user or upstream mainframe sender attempts to connect using TLS incorrectly, ARSJESD logs a TLS handshake failure and then terminates. The reported trace message is:

SSL: Failed establishing the handshake, error code: 410, additional info: GSK_ERROR_BAD_MESSAGE

After this message, ARSJESD dies and must be manually restarted. The customer states that this happens when an incorrect TLS connection is attempted, not because the working OnDemand TLS configuration itself is generally invalid.

ARSJESD should treat a malformed or mismatched TLS handshake as a recoverable client/session-level failure. It should reject the offending connection, log a clear diagnostic message, close that socket/session, and continue running so that correctly configured senders can continue transmitting files.
