Business Performance Center should support unmapped elastic search.

While CP4BA 21.0.3 had enhancements on how the Event Pipeline configuration changes are pushed, the ability to configure event transformation,  the ability to define additional indexes and the ability to decide what gets pushed and where was already there since CP4BA 21.0.2.  Anything that is connected to BAI has field limitation due to large data. Failed Elasticsearch item request: Elasticsearch exception [type=illegal_argument_exception, reason=Limit of total fields [1000] has been exceeded].

As a workaround for this limitation:

Prevent ElasticSearch from indexing select fields (not documented)Beyond the options discussed in our documentation,  Jorge of expert labs explored further capabilities available in ElasticSearch to help reduce the number of fields mapped.  In ElasticSearch, you can store information without it being indexed.  This technique is documented in the external ElasticSearch documentation.   When you do that, all the fields for the data not being indexed are skipped hence greatly reducing the number of fields that are mapped. Jorge prototyped and tested this solution.  From the configuration point of view, we have everything that we need to make this happen.  The issue here however is Business Performance Center.  BPC works off the mapping file in the index.  Fields that are not mapped are not exposed by BPC hence you can’t really explore data that has not been indexed (see my Slack post about this topic here).   This again clashes with RBC requirements because while RBC have said that they do not necessarily need to see everything from BPC, there is a level of info they need to get and a level of analysis they need to be able to do from BPC otherwise there is no point in using it.
