Renaming a group in Okta causes the corresponding FileNet group reference to become orphaned after SCIM push to CP4BA.

When a group is renamed in Okta and pushed through SCIM / IdP to CP4BA, the renamed group does not maintain the same effective linkage in FileNet. As a result, the original group reference in FileNet becomes orphaned, which can affect access tied to that group. This differs from the customer’s legacy LDAP-based FileNet environment, where renamed groups continue to work because they are tied to a unique immutable directory identifier.

At present, there is no product-level support to seamlessly preserve FileNet group association when an Okta group is renamed and pushed through the current SCIM / IdP flow. The available workaround is to rename the group and then manually update / reassign the corresponding group in FileNet, but this is operationally difficult for large environments.

Because addressing this properly would require design consideration and multiple component changes, the agreed next step is to create an enhancement request for development review.
