As of today, the IBM Configuration Manager utility supports only the IBM default xor encoding to connect to WebSphere and does the application configuration and deployments.
We have enabled the WebSphere(WAS) custom password encryption in our organisation as IBM default xor encoding is vulnerable. Since then we are not able to use the IBM Configuration Manager tool of the components (FileNet, Case Manager, Content Navigator, BAW etc) for the application configurations and deployments on WebSphere.
This will make the organisations forced to adapt vulnerable xor encoding, in order to use the configuration manager for application configurations and deployments on WebSphere(WAS) as there is no alternative method of deployments provided by IBM.
Requirement: IBM Configuration Manager utility should be able to connect to the WebSphere where the custom password encryption is enabled.

As part of our security standards, we are using a custom encryption (AES) in WAS. Out of the box WAS encryption is XOR. By enforcing this AES encryption, ICN failed to connect to WAS to perform deployment.
Support replied that ICN does not support AES encryption. Advised to raise enhancement.
Is it true that ICN does not support such industry encryption standard? That is limited to XOR which has known vulnerabilities?
Please review the ER and share the feedback.
