In ODM 8.12 API "import decision service on top of the existing branch" is not removing the deleted items from the existing branch

We published a decision service to Decision Center by using the API "/v1/decisionservices/import".

Then, in Rule Designer we deleted a rule and created a new ZIP for the decision service.

Now, we used the API "/v1/decisionservices/decisionServiceId/import" to publish decision service on top of the existing branch along with "override=true".

But, we noticed that the deleted rule was not removed from the branch.

That means, the API "publish decision service on top of the existing branch" is "additive" in nature only.

It is not removing the deleted items.

We expect it to perform a "sync" rather than only addition and override.

So, can we have an API "to publish decision service on top of the existing branch with Override and "Sync" option"

Thanks!

    Hello,

we intend to deliver in a coming ODM release a feature to perform a full sync (reset) of a decision service branch. Today, it's true that the Import API (or the similar Ant task to perform a synchronization between a workspace and DC) is not removing on the target side the rules that have been deleted on the source side.

Please note that this enhancement will only appear in a future release, not in ODM 8.12, which is reaching End of base Support on Sept 30, 2026.
