Ability to change default sorting of documents attached to a case

When users rely on document attachments for work on cases, they may need to sort them on other fields than the document name.

    • require(['dijit/registry'], function(registry) {

      • var CLWidget = registry.byId("icm_pgwidget_caseinfo_dijit_documents_CaseInfoDocumentsContentPane_0"); var CLGrid = CLWidget.ecmContentList.grid;

      • CLGrid.sort.sort(3, true); // column index (1 and 2 are icon columns, 3 is the doc name, 4 modified, etc), isDescending});

      • return null;

    • });

    Add this to a script adapter (SA) and wire the incoming event to the the Page Controller. Make sure the default style for the content list is set to Details View.

    Hello Dave, yes currently it is possible to sort by clicking on any of the columns but with this feature - users can specify which column would be set as the default sort when a case is viewed, removing the need to click to sort on a column other than the 'Name' column.

    Although not the same as setting a default in Case Builder for the case documents list sorting, when the case doc list is displayed in its Details Mode style (vs the Magazine Mode), the end user can sort on any of the available columns.
