BPM very commonly requires complex user management and routing patterns. One of the most common is implementing a user attribute to be used with a Team Filter Service in order to provide complex assignment patterns for tasks within BPDs. These attributes are not fully leveraged with the other features of the product, specifically the reassignment capabilities of the out of the box dashboards. A singular attribute to denote teams for which a user is a member of but may have been filtered out of during initial task assignment could provide context for the out of the box dashboard to then easily allow the user to participate in reassignment providing a significant level of configurability. Currently, when a Team Filter Services creates a filtered list of participants for a task, those are the only users who are able to participate in the reassignment and thus complete the task. Using the proposed user attribute Pooling Teams (CSV string), managers would have those users available for reassignment who were originally filtered out. Using the Pooling Teams attribute allows for easier implementation with security constraints, provides significant functionality leveraging existing features, and is simpler than existing solutions for common usages.
