Ability to Configure Custom Starting Values for Instance IDs and Task IDs

Request for a configurable option that allows IBM BAW administrators to define custom initial values for Workflow Instance IDs and Task IDs.

In the current IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) implementation, all environments start generating Instance IDs and Task IDs from the same default sequence. When organizations deploy multiple BAW runtime instances —such as Workflow Server1, Workflow Server2,.. the identical ID patterns lead to overlap and confusion. Business users who interact with more than one system may misinterpret instances or tasks due to identical numeric identifiers. Support teams also expend additional effort determining which environment an ID belongs to, complicating incident analysis, auditing, and log correlation.


Requested Enhancement

Introduce a configuration option that allows administrators to specify the initial starting number for both Instance IDs and Task IDs.
