Support of Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Systems to run against Read Only RDBMS and File Storage

Typically on premise systems have either a Production/Disaster Recovery or Production/Bunker/Disaster Recovery live / production system deployment model.  In this model, if changes (upgrades, patches, JVM arguments & configs, web container patches and upgrades, etc.) are made on PROD or PROD/BUNKER systems, they can be immediately validated.  If same changes are made to BCP/DR systems, they cannot be validated in a supported by IBM model.  Proposing then an enhancement which is providing a configuration option or automatic detection of database and file system states, if set or found in Read Only mode, allow for start/run of system with read only operations (search, retrieval, viewing, etc).  This includes disabling subsystems like Sweep, Async, Auditing, etc. from requesting updates/inserts/delete/change operations from occurring.  In the case of auditing, considering logging out the audit event in case of getContent, getObject, etc. vs updating audit tables.  If there is a configurable setting at Domain level and/or Object Store level to run in Read Only mode, this could be an option which can be picked during startup (for BCP/DR or no matter environment) in order to provide opportunity to validate changes at the application server or at the application level to ensure the BCP/DR system is in ready state in case of disaster.
