BWL Custom Color Palette Enhancements

  • The custom color palette has to be created and updated by an Admin user (so, someone in Chris & Jamil’s organization)

  • A custom color palette will only show colors to which a label has been assigned. There is no option to select only the colors you’d like in the custom color palette and have those show without a label assigned.

  • The custom color palette must be selected each time a Process Blueprint is created. I didn’t see an option to set a custom color palette for the entire account.

  • The user cannot edit the labels on a custom color palette. Often times today when we are developing Process Blueprints, we will label a color something specific (e.g., follow-up needed). This cannot be done if a custom color palette is used.

  • Multiple custom color palettes can be created.

    Hi Chris,

I'll close this for now, and give you a chance to read through the material posted previously. If you still wish to pursue, then please open a new Idea and we'd be happy to assess.

    Thanks again!

    Thanks for your request Chris!

By "color palette", we assume you are refering to the color legend feature. Correct?

Admins can create multiple account-wide color legends. Organizations often have predefined meanings for specific colors. The account-wide color legends were designed to fit that need.

Editors can also create their own local color legend for use within their process. They can select which colors are within it, and can assign their own labels. They would do this if none of the account-wide color legends fit their needs.

For your "follow-up needed" example, the editor could just create a local color legend while in the midst of developing the blueprint. Is there a reason that wouldn't work?

A color legend provides meaning to colors by assigning a label to each color. Without a label, the color has no assigned meaning. Can you elaborate on the purpose of including an unlabeled color in the account-wide legend?

We're sure you've seen our Help pages on the topic. Including them here just in-case you haven't:
