This is an IBM Automation portal for Digital Business Automation products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

We will consider adding support for Signal events to Blueworks Live at some point in the future.
We aren't able today to use the functionality of linking a process on a message event. We have many situations where we have 1 sending message event to many receiving message events and many sending message events to one receiving message event.
In the case of one sending message event to many receiving message events, a good example is when design elements for a clinical trial are confirmed there are 7 processes that are triggered to begin.
In the case of many sending message events to one receiving message event, we have many processes that can identify an issue during a clinical trial. If the issue is severe enough that it needs to be tracked by the trial level then our Manage Issues process is triggered. We currently have 12 processes that can identify an issue that trigger the Manage Issues process.
I believe the true BPMN symbol that would handle these type of situations would be the Signal. However, BWL doesn't have a Signal element. So, we've used the Message event element and added to the documentation to describe the processes that are triggered or processes that triggered the event. However, this doesn't allow our users to take advantage of the direct linking functionality.
In lieu of a Signal element, if we could attach more than one process link to a message event, this would greatly increase the usability of the system for our users.
Thanks for your request, Austin! Do you have an example that you could share helping us better understand your requirement? We are trying to better understand whether this really requires the ability to specify multiple process pools when specifying the Send Message event or whether it might be better served by a Send Task, for example, or even multiple boundary events. Thanks!
