Add Configuration Option to Only Keep a Finite Number of History Versions

Every time a decision model is saved, a new version is created, and there are currently no automated ways to delete old or unneeded versions. This is also true for ODM artifacts.

It looks like this documentation is referencing on-prem ODM. How does this apply to ODM on Cloud? We have several decision services on the cloud, and while a few of them are decision models with one artifact, as you described, most are decision services where each rule is an artifact.

    Hello,

I'm assuming you're referring to decision models in ODM. If so, it's true that one decision model in ODM is treated as a single artifact.

There is no simple feature in ODM to remove past versions. But there is an advanced feature for an admin to clean up your Decision Center database, to keep only the versions that you need and archive versions you do not use anymore, which reduces the database size and improves performance. See documentation.

Please note also that decision models in ODM have been recently deprecated in ODM 8.10.5. New investments on decision modeling are now being made through Automation Decision Services (ADS), a component of IBM Cloud Pak for Automation.
