Create a comprehensive, responsive & automated way of communicating with the 'users' and developers of the bots that can also be adapted to notify certain groups when it wouldn't be appropriate to notify everyone.
Examples of situations where there's a need to communicate with pre-defined/selectable groups;
An issue impacting all bots has been encountered and there's a need to take down an environment to fix it and/or an upgrade is planned and the service won't be available at a certain time.
There are variations to these scenarios which mean you'd want to target only certain people e.g. the issue is with the test environment so you only need to notify developers and testers but not the business users.
For me, there are 3 key criteria;
1, it must be under our control i.e. we aren't reliant on another team agreeing to or carrying out the notification
2, it needs to be configurable in the way described above otherwise a message intended for only one group of users could cause panic and confusion if others saw it too
3, it must be easy - automated - to upkeep or based on real-time information because if it requires a manual process to update it it'll most likely get forgotten about

This is a valid requirement and it's planned for the future
