Additional Credential Data

Credential management is more than user and password. This idea is to enhance credential management with additional fields/features

  • Possibility to disregard username. For tokens, etc where only the password applies

  • Add Expiration Date Field

  • Add Status field for Active and Inactive credentials

  • Add credential owner field to be filled with creator name and can be managed by Platform Manager in case there's a change in the ownership. Each owner will be managing their own credentials only.

  • Limit Scripts Usage. Credential Manager will have to list if credential can be used by all scripts in the tenant or select the applicable script(s) restricting the usage of those.

  • Bidirectional data flow. Scripts can gather all credential data, but can also update credential data. This will enhance robots independency to set their own credentials as active or inactive, or even self update passwords and expire date.

    May I know if there is any other planned feature for Credentials management? Because suggested features above are high important for robot management..
    And as client zero for IBM RPA (I'm from Automation CIO Team) we see this bring value not only for internal usage, but for external clients usabilities.
