Add trace/debugging mode for IBM RPA clients (Agent)
Improve the serviceability in the debugging of the IBM RPA client logs. Users currently, to enable logs in the information level, have to manually navigate to the installation folder, change the log files manually and restart the IBM RPA agent service. This for debugging purposes is completely frustrating to customers due to the fact that:
1- They have to change configuration files - any mistake done can corrupt the files and cause unavailabilities (which may require reinstallation if no backup is provided)
2- The process is not so simple and can generate confusion for customers. Other IBM products do not require this level of complexity to enable traces.
3- The process is slow, customers generally have to wait for non-usage windows to restart their agents which (in a big issue, for example, this delay can increase the business impact).
Here our goal is to speed up and add reliability to the switch of the log level inside the agent.
