Digital Business Automation Ideas

Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea

Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests

The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notifications on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas that cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Associate a browser open Merged

Allow to open a browser (Chorme/firefox/edge) by command example: chorme.exe or by a Windows Bat script, after opening that browser, being able to find the open browser and associate it to a browser instance, today, there is only the command to find an open Internet Explorer, but there are sites that do not allow you to login when you use the "webstart" command to open chrome, this way we could open the chorme by a CMD/command and log into the page, associate the browser so that the WDG recognizes the instance and allows you to perform browser commands such as (browse, run javascript and so on).

Idea priority Urgent
Why is it useful?

Brazilian government websites are identifying the browser opened by the 'Webstart' command as automated processes, and with that they lock the entire operation in RPA, we did a test, just opening the browser through the WDG (webstart) and manually browsing the site it already identifies as an automated process and blocks access, with this command it would be possible to open the browser, browse, log in to the website, and later associate the already opened browser to continue the process

Who would benefit from this idea? All clients in Brazil, on the IBM website there is a platform call saying it is compatible with government websites, but with the lack of this feature, the tool would become obsolete.
