ODM Container - Addition of Kerberos configuration to IBM Helm chart for Oracle Database connectivity

Hi,

Our Oracle Database is fully kerberized and we need Kerberos authentication to be added to ODM version 8.11.1.0 and Helm - 22.2.0

For configuring kerberos, we need to pass the following file which are available in our organization:

krb_config: "krb5.conf"

krbcc_name: "appname_krbcc"

krb_config : this file is readily available in our credential cache server which will be available for us which contains the server and other configurations to connect to the kerberos realm

krbcc_name: once we register the user in the server, this will be available at the server, so we can use the credential providers to fetch the credentials from the server.

There are code and config change required for this to happen as this is one of the important item for database connectivity.

We will be implementing this feature in JPMC kubernetes environment.

Important note: If we cant get this feature then our entire migration will be at pause until we get this feature as this is one of the cybersecurity requirement from JPMC to implement this solution.

I am not too sure how this was not raised by any other client in the past to enable this feature as this is one of the critical feature in-terms of security.

I am more than happy to share more details if needed.

Regards

Sid

There is currently no plan to add Kerberos support in ODM.

    Please consider an alternative.

    Thank you,
