Status Not under consideration

Option to filter out or hide items in the merge panel result that are of the same contents and only have version number differences.

Merging activity across releases in Decision Center with Governance Framework results in many differences being shown on unchanged items – due to version number differences. We would like to have option to filter out or hide items in the merge panel result that are of the same contents and only have version number differences.

Hello, I'm required to update the Idea. Based on the call we just had, there is no clear improvement that the ODM team can consider. So I'm changing the Idea status to "Not under consideration" for now. We can come back to it later and update the status again as we progress. Thank you for your understanding.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I think the best course of action would be a live follow up session to discuss this topic. If you can identify a scenario where you can reproduce this issue, then that would be helpful. From my experience, this can happen when a workspace is created in Rule Designer without properly initializing its content from Decision Center. Then the updated content is pushed back to Decision Center and it appears as updated, although it's not.

    Hello Antony,

We have multiple active releases where rules are managed (Business, Development, Master). We merge Business release changes to Development release and then deploy to different environments. We have noted that in many cases, upon merging, artifacts are being reported as having in conflict even when all content is same - only difference is in artifact version. This was discussed earlier with Alain Robert from IBM support team and IBM Dev team and seems like some options are being looked at. Let me know if you need more information.

Hello, the issue you're describing (unchanged items showing with different versions) may be the symptom of another issue related to how the Governance framework is used. I would recommend that you identify a scenario that's leading to such a situation, so that the ODM team can review it.
