Reencrypt template using custom certs

In order to fix a http/2 cookie issue between DC and RES console, a Re-encrypted route was implemented according https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/odm/9.5.0?topic=tasks-configuring-external-access, using IBM templates. However, in this case user can not use private ingress controller certs, so when using original template, user would get an error applying this route.

A solution for it was to edit original template adding destinationCACertificate . Please provide a supported and official template when users cannot use private ingress controller certs.

Thank you for submitting this Idea.

Here is the feedback from the ODM dev team:

the IBM ODM K8S docs explains how to create re-encrypt routes. There is no perceived blocker here: user just needs to create the route manually as described in the doc. That said, dev team acknowledges that ODM could deliver an improvement to natively support re-encrypt routes during deployment. An internal goal for that feature has been created, as a candidate for the next ODM release in 2027.
