provide some kind of encapsulation option (private, public) for ODM project variables

Context :  Rule Designer, rule authoring, variable definition

To provide a better user experience for business users, and avoid confusion in variable completion.
It would be good to provide an encapsulation concept for projects variables : ex private/public.

ex :
- the scope of some variable could be limited ONLY to the current project and NOT its dependencies, for ex ; private scope
- the public scope would be equivalent as the default behavior today.

This is important as sometimes variable creation is sometime used to provide better business users experience, but this user experience can be compromised if the scope of the variable is extended to other dependent projects that have a different business objective.

    Hello Emmanuel,

in absolute, it could be nice to have a way to control the scope of variables, as you described.

But this is also the kind of Idea that would require significant work across 3 modules: not only Rule Designer, but also Decision Center and Build Command. And to be realistic, the actual chances of considering such an Idea in the next 2 years is very low, compared to other Ideas that are less costly and related to missing features and APIs.

So I'm afraid I need to decline this Idea for now.
