Improve Search Functionality in New Editor

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

The new editor's search functionality has two critical issues:

Incorrect Partial Matching: When searching for a term like "vip", the editor returns domains containing partial matches ( "ip" within "Tipo") instead of exclusively matching "vip". This leads to incomplete and inaccurate search results.

Case Sensitivity and Inconsistent Partial Matching: The search is case-sensitive, meaning searching for "inclusao" (lowercase) does not return results for "Inclusao" (uppercase). Additionally, the search behaves inconsistently by matching partial strings like "nclus o" within words, rather than focusing on the exact or intended search term. This results in irrelevant matches and makes it difficult for users to find the correct domains.

The old editor handles these scenarios correctly by:

Returning only domains with the exact match ( "vip").

Being case-insensitive and matching the entire term accurately.

Users rely on accurate search results to configure rules and decision tables effectively. The current behavior in the new editor causes inefficiencies and potential errors in configuration.

    Hello,

completion in the new Intellirule editor is based on a 'fuzzy' search: the completion menu will first list the closest matching terms and then other terms that are partially matching. When the author doesn't remember exactly how a business term is written, it's a good way to find the closest terms.

If you type "vip", the first terms listed are those containing "vip", and then other terms with partial matching.

That being said, you're raising a good point about the search being case sensitive. I'll check with the dev team if we need to consider a future option in the editor to ignore the case.
