Reduce the payload size of api call "/applicableCommand"

API call "/applicableCommand" is an internal call triggered when click into any decision service from DC's Library tab.

The size of the API is used by ODM to retrieve the permission of the current user for the specified decision service, whether they are able to click any of the button in the UI. And the permissions are different for each releases/activity.

As a results, the more there are releases and branches of a decisions service, the larger this put payload will be.

Our client is under a security check on the API call body size of not exceeding 8KB for internal business and regulation reasons. To meet this, client has to  reduce the size of the body request size by removing  the releases from the Decision Service. However, that is not possible in their case, since they need to keep the old releases for historical purpose.

Can we offer a way to reduce the size of this API call?

    Hello,

I discussed this request with the dev team for Decision Center.

General feedback is that a limit of 8KB for a payload is not compatible at all with the way the Business Console works.

Regarding the page that lists all the releases, the team is adding a new way to paginate the view, similar to what we added in ODM 9.0 to the view listing all decision services.

This will help reduce the size of the payload for that page, but there are other pages where a limit of 8KB will not be achievable

    Thank you for your understanding.
