Hi BAW Product Dev. Team,
Hope you are doing well
Our key account - banking customer, have recently been conducting accessibly testing on the UI.
They are testing against the WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
They found that a small number of the ‘out the box’ BAW coaches, (e.g. the Portal page), doesn’t meet all of the WCAG 2.1 standards.
The detail of the issue can be found in the PMR [TS011241464].
For your information.
1. The customer are not using any specific tools to scan for accessibility. The accessibility testing we do is all currently manual.
2. The initial report from our test system is attached. Please ignore item 4 as this we can fix.
The other items we have been told by the IBM team working on our project they are features of BAW and
would need resolving in the BAW product.
3. The only out the box coach we use is the Process Portal Page. As part of this we also use the saved search and edit profile.
4. The customer use BPM only for internal staff members we do not expose any BPM coach to customers.
Any screens exposed to customer we use different UI technology.
However, the customer has started to adopt the same accessibility standards across both staff and customer channels going forward.
The customer would like to understand if this is something the IBM BAW team have any plans to address.
Are accessibility enhancements on the future roadmap for the out of the box pages?
It would be grateful if you can let us know your plan and progress of BAW support on WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
Your help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks!
Regards,
Gabriel

WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards for BAW application support is very important to the colour weekness & blind people.
