Provide Daeja View Toolkit for BAW

We use Daeja View embedded into BAW using a toolkit originally created by an IBM employee (https://us-south.git.cloud.ibm.com/schwarzs/bpm-ui-Daeja.Document.Viewer/-/tree/master). This toolkit is very useful but is now showing it's age as BAW has been updated but the toolkit has not. We would like this toolkit to be updated to work with the latest versions of BAW and to be an IBM supported product/toolkit for BAW.

Customer wants to view office documents in the BAW instead of downloading them.

Would be extremely helpful to be able to view additional MIME types - i.e. docx, xlsx, pptx, etc - from within BAW. This would be a big differentiator for BAW against some other products and solutions our client is evaluating.

The dated community toolkit mentioned has the following limitations:

    • it is provided AS-IS and not supported

    • it does not expose JS API that allows dynamic manipulation of annotation.

    • It requires deploying a custom EAR file in WAS application server which is not compatible with BAW on cloud using tWAS deployment and container deployment.

We have customer requirements as follows :

    1. Daeja Viewer as first class citizen in Content Toolkit and accessible via Process Designer Coach UI designer.

    2. Ability to embed Daeja Viewer as a Coach view side and layout by-by-side other Coach view e.g. a Form.

    3. Ability to use JS API exposed by Daeja Viewer to perform dynamic annotations driven by user interactions on the coach UI. E.g. ability to show/hide field annotation in document as user moves across the coach form fields

These features are highly sought after by customer and BAW community as you can see the slack channel search below.

+1. The File Viewer is nothing more than an iFrame. BAW needs a powerful viewer like Daeja.
