Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests

The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notifications on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas that cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Ability to specify a default solution to load for the Cases ICN Desktop Feature or limit the solutions that can be access from an ICN Desktop

When you select the Cases Feature in a Desktop, Case Manager loads. Using the Role drop down in the top right corner, the user can not only change roles for the current Solution they loaded into, but they can change to any other solution they have access to for the Repositories specified for that ICN Desktop.


We normally create different ICN Desktops for each Case Manager Solution we have as we make changes at the desktop level depending on what Solution it is for. We have started seeing errors and issues when end users navigate to an ICN Desktop (meant for CM Solution 1), but the desktop loads to CM Solution 2 because the end user has access to both and nothing was cached in the browser and CM Solution 2 alphabetically came first. This causes a poor user experience as they don't know what happened and have to contact support or IT to diagnose it as they were expecting to load to the correct solution based on what URL/Desktop they went to.
