Establish an efficient way to install fixes when customizations are involved

During the software upgrades to BPM/BAW, the recommended last environment to upgrade is ALWAYS going to be the Process Center. Process Center holds the production code repository, and once updated will not be able to support a production Process Server that has not yet been upgraded. If we upgrade Process Center first, then experience a production outage due to an application issue, we will not be able to make code changes in the upgraded Process Center to deploy to production. This is a major risk to the business.

However to be able to restore the customizations done on ProcessPortal coaches we must upgrade the Process Center first which doesn't align with the best practice. Currently, very limited customizations can be restored independently without upgrading Process Center.

There must be a way to restore the customizations while maintaining best practice of upgrading DEV last.

Thank you for your idea submission. We are closing this idea for now as IBM Process Center is deprecated, please open a new idea should this be an issue in IBM Workflow Center.
