Search option in Single select control

We require a search option in the SPARK UI single select control. The legacy controls based on the Dojo toolkit had the option of searching the dropdown values by typing .After migration our business users are facing issues and have to manually scroll and select each option

Type ahead works perfectly fine with typeahead, but the component Single Select swaps your selection to the latest clicked key. For example, if I have a single select containing the the names Dave, Eric and Vernon, and i enter "ave", i would expect it to show me dave as a selectable parameter. However, when clicking "a" a single select in UI toolkit does nothing, when click "v" it selects "Vernon", and when clicking "e" it selects "Eric".

How i would prefer it to work is as the examples on this page on StackOverflow:

    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/18796221/creating-a-select-box-with-a-search-option/57809086#57809086

I would like a field that i can click to scroll through alternatives, or if I want to, be able to search for substrings for it to filter the list with.

Hello. Can you please check if this is still an issue for you with our current BAW releases? Type ahead has worked with single select controls for many years.
