Allow role-based security around ability to see Saved Searches in Process Federation Server

Allow role-based security on saved searches to only allow users to see searches for which they are authorized in Process Federation Server. Since we have many different processes and numerous saved searches implemented in BPM, we have the need to allow saved searches to only be visible to those people who work with the related processes. While we do understand that if someone doesn't have access to the instances, they wouldn't see anything listed within the saved search. However, seeing the entire list of saved searches just clutters their lists so the ones that do pertain to their work are buried among other saved searches.

We realize you can "favorite" a saved search; however, I believe there is a limit to the number of saved searches you can favorite.

Since PFS brings multiple environments together into one portal, this increases the number of saved searches a person sees by adding all the saved searches from the other environments to their list.

You already can limit who can access saved searches (SS).

In BAW product, there are different roles for SS.

    • One role is where you cannot see any SS.

    • One role is where you can see your SS only.

    • One role is where you can see shared SS if they are saved to a Team that you are a member of.

    • Also. when any SS is run, you will only see the tasks that are assigned to you or those that you are authorized to have assigned to you.

If this is not enough, you can submit a new idea with new requirements.

Saved searches can be specifically shared with Teams (Teams defined for lines of the business process). Would sharing saved searches specific to a process with teams defined for the process solve your issue ?
