API to Check if a user has task to action on

We have a requirement to check if a user has any Tasks for which he can action on,

We have multiple BPEL processes with multiple tasks for each process.

Each Task can be either a “Human Task” or a “Participating Task”.

Each task has list of custom properties set.

So given a particular user we have to check, If user has Tasks of either kind “Human or participating” and have certain custom property and if it satisfies any of the below condition,
1. If the task is in “Ready” State, user should be part of “Potential Owner List” Or
2. If the task is in “Claimed” state, user should be the “owner” Or
3. User should be part of “Escalation Receiver List”. Or

We had achieved the same using "query API",

String whereQuery= "TASK.KIND IN ( TASK.KIND.KIND_HUMAN, TASK.KIND.KIND_PARTICIPATING ) AND (( TASK.STATE = TASK.STATE.STATE_READY AND WORK_ITEM.REASON = WORK_ITEM.REASON.REASON_POTENTIAL_OWNER) OR (TASK.STATE = TASK.STATE.STATE_CLAIMED AND WORK_ITEM.REASON = WORK_ITEM.REASON.REASON_OWNER) OR (WORK_ITEM.REASON = WORK_ITEM.REASON.REASON_ESCALATION_RECEIVER) ) AND (TASK_CPROP0.NAME = 'taskType') AND (TASK_CPROP9.NAME = 'zone') AND (WORK_ITEM.OWNER_ID='ABC')";

String select=”DISTINCT TASK.TKIID, TASK.NAME, TASK.COMPLETED,TASK.DUE,TASK.ORIGINATOR, TASK.OWNER, TASK.STATE, TASK_CPROP0.STRING_VALUE";

QueryResultSet resultSet = bfm.query(select, whereClause, null, null, null, null);

But this is causing a major performance issue, while running above snippet.

So we are looking for an API that can help achieve the same

See analysis here: https://jsw.ibm.com/browse/DBACLD-46802

The conclusion is that it doesn't make sense because the customer can do this already as explained in the analysis.
