Automated bulk cleanup of task and process instances

There are some use cases for process applications that are used frequently and are very short lived, which quickly increase the count of completed process instances.  

BAW currently provides options to delete instances visually using Process Inspector,  via WAS Admin scripting or with the following REST APIs below:
/rest/bpm/wle/v1/process/999?action=terminate&parts=all
/rest/bpm/wle/v1/process/999?action=delete&parts=all

However, doing so with the GUI is time-consuming , coding would be required to use the REST APIs to iterate through all instance, and wsadmin scripting requires some manual modifications.  

A configuration option could be provided to enable automatic process instance cleanup at specified intervals.  Perhaps this would be any instances older than 30 or 90 days, or keeping a maximum of 250K instances.  It would also be helpful if the configuration could target specific Process Applications by name, such as the known short-running apps.
