(REF: TS017813455 - Slower system performance after upgrading to BAW 23.0.2)
After upgrading from BAW 22.0.1 to BAW 23.0.2, users are reporting slower performance in loading inbasket. Through TS017813455, it was found that this was due to a difference in behavior of the selected "Show counts for all in-baskets" option in BAW 23.0.2 as compared to the previous BAW 22.0.1.
The "Show counts for all in-baskets" option uses getFilterCriteria calls. As explained by Development, in BAW 22.0.1 this option was not really working. Even though counts were showing for all inbaskets, those counts were not correct as it was only calling getFilterCriteria once to get the correct count for the in-focus inbasket only.
In BAW 23.0.2, this behavior changed where getFilterCriteria is called for each inbasket. So, for a solution with many inbaskets (46 in our example), these multiple calls becomes expensive and significantly slows down the loading of the inbaskets. The only way to resolve the issue with the current design is to not use the "Show counts for all in-baskets" option when the solution has many inbaskets.
The "Show counts for all in-baskets" option is a useful functionality that we would like to be able to use if the design can be improved so that it does not cause slower performance in loading inbaskets.
