WebPD: Ability to debug instances running on Inactive snapshot

In an online/connected workflow server environments, Desktop PD has the ability to debug instances running in Active and Inactive snapshots. However with the Web PD, we only have the ability to debug the instances running on the Active snapshot.

Certain applications may leave the instances on old snapshot for variety of reasons (primarily driven by business needs) and Inactivate the snapshots. It will be difficult to troubleshoot the issues on the instances running on Inactive snapshots without the Debug feature.

This request is to add the feature to debug instances running on a inactive snapshot. This feature existed in Desktop PD and our Developers rely heavily on this feature for PROD support.


An alternative would be to activate the old inactive snapshot for debugging process but that would involve change management and incident process which would be time consuming. Also, its not ideal to expose multiple services (like dashboards, startable services) from Inactive snapshots when there is no business need.
