There should be a feature to limit the number of workitems that can be created in a Case Client In-Basket.

There is pagination feature of maximum of 50 workitems per page in the In-basket. The performance of the In-Basket can be degraded when there are tens of thousands of workitems in the In-Basket. To improve the performance, there should be a limit of workitems that can be created as time, say 5000. The workitems creation should stop until there is less than that certain number of workitems.

    Hi Dave,
Are you referring to the maximum 50 workitems per page as I described?

I know the number can be increased to like 200. If it is configured to 200 and customer has like 21000 workitems, it means workitems will be 105 pages. However, what the customer wants is that out of the 21000 workitems, only 5000, for instance, should display at a time, with either default 50 or adjusted 200 per pages.

Please let me know if you have further comments or questions.

    Thank you.

As shown above, the option is on the Case Client plugin settings in Navigator Admin

There is already an option to limit the "page" size tha is returned to a case In-basket. Does this not meet your needs?

    Hi Dave,
I actually meant adding workitems to the inbasket list. A customer should be able to limit total number of inbasket list at a time, say 5000 or any specific number they want.
    Thank you.

Hello. By "creation" do you mean "added to the inbasket list" or "the actual "creation of the work item itself by some process? The latter does not make sense as you could have hundreds of running processes all needing to generate their tasks.
