Hello,
You advised to use Data Section. But, Data section is shown in read-only mode and no save button is displayed if the status of the instance is completed. If possible, would you please advice how to edit exposed variables of completed instance in the Data section? Thank you.
Data Section
Instance status
For example, if the status of the instance is completed, the data cannot be edited. If the data cannot be edited, the Data section is shown in read-only mode.
After you do that, the Data UI View becomes a normal dropzone and you can drop in the exposed variables you want to all the users to edit. The view header will then also display a small "Save" icon to save the changes for you.
After you make your own copy of the instance CSHS, there is an option on the configuration for the Data view that lets you make the view data editable:
Hello! Today, the approach for this if you want to stay with persisting process instances would be to create a custom, reusable version of the process instance CSHS that you could associate with any process you like. You could add your custom CSHS to your own toolkit and include that in any project.
Another approach would be to look at the BAW case features where csae instances are designed to be persistened long term. You can always open a case and update the case properties and even bring a case back to life if you have designed it that way.
