The new data mapping dialog in PC 23.0.1 should switch between graphical and JS input and wait for input or leave the existing one instead of emptying the existing values.

After our move to BAW 23.0.1 and Process Center 23.0.1 we were struggling with the new data mapping dialog and opened case TS014292733.

We started with data mapping as defined prior to 23.0.1 and see the "JS" marker. Then we switch to JS mode and see our original JS expression. 
Without changing the values of the data mapping, I am able to wipe out the values by simply switching the mode on the right side. This should not happen!
We really have mappings with a longer list of variables. This is so error-prone, if I do not leave the dialogue with "Cancel" the original mapping is lost.

In our opinion the switch between graphical and JS input should not empty the previously entered information. It should just switch between the two different modes and wait for input or leave the existing one.

In case TS014292733 we were told, that when JS is displayed, by design the migration of the mapping from legacy to new mapping is one way only, so cannot be idempotent. The design can be considered by product development and implemented as a feature in the future versions, and this is what we are asking for now.
