Optimization of display of large (e.g.400 activities) process models

For really large processes, ability to zoom out so that the complete process graph can be displayed, including a small overview window identifying the actually displayed portion of the process with a moving and resizing frame an a small view of the complete process map, thus reduce need for scrolling and a better navigation to relevant process parts:

  • zoom out to complete process map

  • reduce displayed information (numbers, activity names shortened) when zoomed out and only use colors to display hotspots

  • ability to find activities / sub-processes based on name search

  • use different line stiles to display different link types (e.g. link between activities, link to planed process end, link to unplanned processed (see other idea on separating processes with different conditions (proper, idea, dead)

  • better explanation of displayed numbers per activity (e.g.with meaningful tool tip) and deep-link depending documentation on process view

  • per link, display details (counts, time, etc), regardless of what part of a link is actually displayed instead of forcing to scroll and follow the link or zoom out to it's middle section to be able to see corresponding details
