For our organization, the most convenient way to create dashboards is to build them manually, leveraging our knowledge of SQL queries. This is made possible by the “Advanced edit mode” option in “Elastic” charts.
When creating charts, we encounter various errors resulting from the data or the specific SQL implementation in the Process Mining tool, for example:
When a query has a syntax error, the message “Error during testing, check the query field and try again” or “Generic Error” is displayed, which is very general, imprecise, and in no way helpful in resolving the issue
A good solution would be to report SQL query errors in a manner that is standard in DBMS tools - specifying the line number where the error occurs and providing a detailed description of the error. As an example, I’ve included a screenshot from SSMS.
Such a description would be extremely helpful for us in identifying and fixing errors. Furthermore, a more detailed description of available SQL queries in the documentation would allow us to use the dashboard creation tool more effectively.
