Improvements in TM and PM integration - Add TM recorded Task to continue a event log based Process.

See the following situation: 

1- An application emits event logs for a specific App as part of the process.

2- Later, the users must perform a series of actions on their machines to complete the process. Those actions are recorded in IBM Task Mining.

3- Notice that Task 2 is a continuation of Task 1 and is also part of the process.

The integration is not smooth and requires the manipulation of the CSV generated by the TM recording.

 

This idea suggests that IBM Task Mining could have mechanisms to integrate a TM-recorded Task into a Process Mining event log-based project. Like automatically filling fields based on the PM project pattern.

 

This will hugely impact the user experience when dealing with TM and PM Project integration, since it is quite common to come across use cases where one process can be recorded while the other is derived from event logs.

    ​Customer insights:

    I'd add the possibility of adding (+) new Business Activities in the Assign to Business Activity, so we can include steps to a process when integrated with an existing Process Mining project.


    Validating Task Mining files with Process Mining:

    ID, Activity, Start Time, Resource (Optional), End Time (Optional), to integrate without any issues. These fields should appear without difference between PM and TM, so it can be possible to perform a complete analysis on them.
