Support direct upgrade from CP4BA 24.0.1 to CP4BA 26.0.0 on Openshift

We moved to BAW 24.0.1 traditional because it was the first version in which process instance migration from traditional to containers was possible. Since we wanted to move to containers quickly we did not wait for the 25.0.0 release.
After we have migrated our applications to containers the next step is to re-align with the long-term release of CP4BA which will be 26.0.0. Logically, we want to skip the 25.0.0 step. We heard a direct upgrade from CP4BA 24.0.1 to CP4BA 26.0.0 will not be supported.
The workaround—performing an upgrade to 25.0.0 first and then immediately upgrade to 26.0.0 in a single operation will cost us additional time. This includes extra time for preparing and testing the upgrade, as well as extra execution time for all environments. In case of issues we will need to explain our special situation to IBM Support, which increases the likelyhood of miscommunication. During the production upgrade, applications will be unavailable for a longer period. The same applies to the development environment impacting development teams.
