Make authCacheTimeout Configurable for Platform-Auth Pod to Support Extended Inactivity Timeout in Process Portal

Currently, the Process Portal inactivity timeout property allows administrators to configure session timeout behavior for idle sessions. The client observed the following behavior during testing:

  • 5 minutes inactivity timeout – Working as expected
  • 10 minutes inactivity timeout – Working as expected
  • 20 minutes or more inactivity timeoutNot working as expected

The user is redirected to a blank page, and the session remains active instead of logging out.

Current Limitation:

The workaround requires manually updating authCacheTimeout in Liberty configuration. This is not sustainable for production environments and lacks flexibility.

Request for enhancement:

Introduce a configurable parameter for authCacheTimeout at the platform-auth pod level in CP4BA. This will allow administrators to set the value based on their inactivity timeout requirements without relying on manual Liberty configuration changes or hotfixes.

Yes, it would be helpful if authCacheTimeout were a configurable parameter at the platform-auth pod level in CP4BA.
