Compound documents is a really useful way of creating a parent-child relationship between documents.
Many of our clients have this requirement but the IBM solution is only able to deliver the displaying of the parent-child documents not the adding of new or maintenance of existing parent-child relationships.
Adding new or maintaining existing parent-child relationships can be achieved via the Administration Console for content engine but this is not a solution for our clients. An undesirable customisation is necessary for our customers to be able to manage relationships within their environment.
This is a gap in the IBM offering which would benefit many of our existing and potential new clients if it could be addressed from within the core product.
