In WorkflowCentre, there is a requirement where process instance variables need to be updated based on events sent from external services.

Requirement where process instance variables need to be updated based on events sent from external services.  For this, the event subprocess functionality can be used.  However, when using Event subprocesses, the correlation variable picks up the value of the process variable it correlates to,  at the time of instantiating the event subprocess. The event subprocess is initialised at the same time as the main process.
This is a problem for the majority of the processes where the correlation value is created within the process. Example: a process is created but the order ID is created as part of the process. The order ID can be used for correlation but the event subprocess would be oblivious about it, since it was not initialised at the beginning of the process.
The request is for the event subprocesses to correlate to the latest value in the process instance.
