SSO support for OIDC in Edit Services for Cloud Pak for Business Automation

Actually Edit services does not support SAML SSO authentication, requiring users already authenticated in Navigator to repeat the authentication when editing documents and when authentication and authorization are separated, this may introduce further limitations (i.e. users cannot authenticate using the same password. We'll be able to easily integrate SSO for Edit Services without having to change anything on the CPxBA side.

Even with the new introduced parameter in ICN 3.0.14 isEditService=true it make sense to separate EditServices from ICN to be able to use it independently as well from outside of ICN (REST services).

Yes, great idea! Really top priority to provide a better, seamless ICN Edit integration with CP4BA for our customers. Also, take the chance to get rid of legacy "Cloud Pak for Data background" in the authentication panel of CP4BA.

Just a comment: Edit service client support SAML SSO. It just need to login ICN web application separatedly to login ICN in browser.

The target is to try to see if ICN web application can send OIDC id/access/bearer token to Edit client to send requests to ICN web application without authentication again.
