Define composite search criteria on more than one property template in Search Template

Over the years of using the FileNet Content management system, customer environment end up having alias property templates to describe the same index information of the document. A line of business might create a document and index a property on a specific property template, and another business might index the data on another property template. A different LOB might want to search for the documents based on the same data that can be found on either of the property templates. So in this scenario, ICN do not support searching for documents for a specific data field that can be found on multiple property templates of a document.

For example: A payer (insurance company) might be searching for the claims submitted for a insurance member for which payer might use MemberID as the search data. Since the member claims can be submitted by the multiple providers dependening where the care was taken either at the physician, clinical, pharmacy or MRI image etc. Each of these provider may index the member id data on their submitted claim under various index fields, such that physician may set the data on MemberID, clinical nurse may set the data on MemeberCertNum and MRI scan provider may set the member id data on GrpID.

In the above example, payer need to enter the Member ID in search field that should search agains memberId, MemberCertNum and GrpID and provide the matching search result.

This require a customization today but it is quite common use case in real scenario and probably a best fit to provide as a product feature OOTB.
