Hello Neelam,
Re: MAPI we already checked, its not applicable for MS office 365, its only applicable for classic version.
Please provide reference material to support the above claim.
The following may be useful:
MAPI is applicable to Microsoft 365, but its use varies between different Outlook versions and configurations. While MAPI is a core technology for Outlook to interact with mailboxes in Exchange Online (part of Microsoft 365), especially for managing MAPI profiles, the underlying transport for Outlook to Exchange is now MAPI over HTTP. Older versions of Outlook or the new Outlook app may have limitations, and for the legacy MAPI functionality, specific settings or older Outlook versions under support might be required. [1, 2, 3, 4]
How MAPI applies to Microsoft 365:
Core Functionality: MAPI is the underlying API that allows Outlook (including Outlook for Microsoft 365) to connect to mailboxes in Exchange Online and manage profiles. [1, 5]
MAPI over HTTP: The primary connection protocol between Outlook and Exchange Online is MAPI over HTTP, which offers better reliability and stability than older protocols. [3]
Enabling MAPI for Mailboxes: MAPI connectivity for a mailbox in Exchange Online needs to be explicitly enabled in the Exchange admin center. [6, 7]
Supporting MAPI Features: Many applications and services rely on MAPI for email integration. For example, medical software or other third-party applications use MAPI to interact with an Outlook profile to send emails. [5, 6]
Considerations and Differences:
Outlook for Microsoft 365: The desktop version of Outlook for Microsoft 365 uses MAPI over HTTP for its connection to the Exchange service. [3, 4]
Outlook 2016 (Perpetual): For some older, perpetual versions like Outlook 2016 that use MSI installation technology, MAPI might function differently than the Microsoft 365 subscription version, and the MAPI over HTTP protocol is not backported. [2, 4]
New Outlook for Windows: The new Outlook for Windows app is a web-based experience and may not fully support the traditional MAPI protocol in the same way as the desktop client. [8, 9]
Unsupported Versions: Outlook 2007 and earlier versions do not support MAPI over HTTP and are in an unsupported state when connecting to Exchange Online, making them incompatible with modern Microsoft 365 features. [4]
In essence, MAPI remains a critical component for Outlook to function within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, but the way it is implemented and utilized has evolved, particularly with the shift to MAPI over HTTP and newer Outlook clients. [3, 4]

Hello Neelam,
Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) supports email via MAPI, ref: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/search/mapi?scope=SSEPCD_10.5.0
