Please continue MAPI support to upload OnDemand files to Outlook as an attachment.

Hi Team,

 

Please continue to support MAPI function in the CMOD application despite Microsoft disconnecting in the near future. The end users love the 'send' feature in the CMOD app and with the 'new' outlook being introduced it does not allow users to attach OnDemand files to Outlook anymore.

 

Can you please work to correct this issue and keep it in feature versions?

    Hello Jamie,

    There are no plans to change existing MAPI support in CMOD.


    Per the guidance in the article referenced below, the issue you are experiencing requires a Microsoft enhancement.


    "As of now, the new Outlook does not fully support MAPI automation. While you can add a MAPI

    mail account to it, automating the new Outlook from an external program using the MAPI interface is not currently possible.

    While these features enhance the overall Outlook experience, direct MAPI automation remains a gap in the current version. If you have specific requirements or feedback, I recommend you submit your valuable feedback directly to Microsoft product development team by posting on Ideas · Community (microsoft.com) for feature consideration."
