We would like to see CMOD function with passwordless IDs, esp. for ARS* tasks or remote connections.

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

Currently all ARS* started tasks and any remote connections that we have to CMOD use an ID and password wherein the passwords are stored in the stash file during the instance creation. Recently there were some issues occurred wherein the IDs got revoked and since old passwords cannot be extracted from stash, we had no option but to reset the password and update the stash file or create new remote connections with the new password.

We would like to move away from this approach and have IBM develop new feature where there is no need to provide a password during the initial setup and there is no such case of IDs getting revoked etc. Please look into this feature as this is very important for service to function without any such password related issues.

Also HSBC cyber security team has insisted to move away from ID and password usage for all critical started task runs which is why we need IBM help to provide a solution for same. Please let me know if you need more details on this for your investigation.
