Support for Content Manager (CM8) for EXADATA (Oracle) Merged

Dear Sir or Madam

 

The German Federal Pension Insurance (DRV Bund) is the largest pension insurance institution in the Federal Republic of Germany. It fulfills its tasks as part of the critical infrastructure.

The DRV Bund has been using the IBM Content Manager (CM8) as part of its digital archive solution since 2007.

Version 8.7 Fixpack1 is currently in productive use.

We will be migrating our productive archive system and other QA environments to a new virtualized x86 infrastructure due to new strategic requirements of the DRV Bund.

All DRV Bund databases must be operated in Oracle's EXADATA by default. This also applies to the databases of the library server and the resource manager. Oracle will offer us full support for this in the future. We urgently need official support from IBM for the use of the “EXADATA” appliance for the IBM CM8 product. It is extremely important for the continued operation of the IBM Content Manager in our company that IBM provides this support, as otherwise we will have to use a different archive product.
