Need Plotter format in PDF export of the Blueprint from UI

Recently, IBM introduced the capability to export Blueprints with documentation in PDF format through the Blueworks Live (BWL) UI, which is a valuable enhancement.

However, we have observed that the process map is currently exported as a static image within the PDF. For large and complex process maps, the exported image becomes difficult to read, and users must zoom significantly to view the details. Even then, the process flow and activity information may not be sufficiently clear, impacting usability and review efficiency.

To address this, we would like to request an enhancement to include the Plotter view/image of the process map in the PDF export, followed by the associated process documentation. A plotter-style layout would provide a clearer and more scalable representation of larger process maps, enabling users to review the end-to-end process flow more effectively.

Expected Benefits:

  • Improved readability of large and complex process maps.

  • Better user experience when reviewing exported process documentation.

  • Reduced need for excessive zooming and scrolling within PDF documents.

  • More effective process reviews, approvals, and stakeholder collaboration.

  • Higher quality documentation for audit, compliance, and business reference purposes.

This enhancement would significantly improve the usefulness of the PDF export feature and provide greater value to business users who rely on exported process documentation for review and governance activities.

We believe it would be highly beneficial for organizations using Blueworks Live to document and share complex process maps.
